Our Story

Ladder Genie™ was born in Calgary, Alberta, in 2019, out of a simple need for a safer, smarter way to move heavy materials to rooftops. What started as a concept soon became a true passion project. We explored countless design ideas—always focused on creating a system that would be both easy to use and highly efficient for real-world job sites.

By 2023, our vision took shape with the launch of our first 10 prototypes. We put these early models into the hands of real tradespeople, taking in their feedback and suggestions at every step. The response was overwhelmingly positive—users were happy, offered great ideas, and confirmed we were on the right track.

Drawing on this real-world feedback, we continued to fine-tune the Ladder Genie system. We reinforced cables, added a second remote, and made each detail a little better, all in pursuit of simple, reliable performance. In 2025, we built and released 10 more prototypes to the field, again receiving excellent feedback and a perfect satisfaction rate from our testers.

Through it all, our goal never changed: create a tool that’s simple to operate, fast to set up, and easy to store. Today, we’re proud to say we’ve hit that mark, delivering a product that’s trusted by professionals and ready to tackle the toughest jobs—so you can work smarter, safer, and more efficiently every day.

Founder & President

Our founder’s journey began in Ontario, Canada, where he gained hands-on experience working alongside his father, a seasoned general contractor. This early exposure to the trades fostered a deep understanding of construction, practical problem-solving, and a lifelong respect for craftsmanship.

An avid sports and outdoor enthusiast, he earned a Division II baseball scholarship to the University of Bridgeport, completing a Bachelor's degree in Finance followed by an MBA. Throughout his academic journey, he also worked in the banking industry, gaining valuable business insight while continuing to pursue his passion for construction.

In 2013, he took an entrepreneurial leap and established his own roofing company, building a highly respected business known for its commitment to quality and reliability. Driven by a passion for innovation and jobsite safety, he began developing Ladder Genie Inc. in 2019—motivated by firsthand experience with the everyday challenges faced by roofers.

Starting with a homemade prototype in 2020, he devoted years to refining the Ladder Genie system through rigorous testing and continuous improvement. By 2023, the first market-ready prototypes were introduced, receiving enthusiastic feedback from users in the field. Further product iterations and refinements followed, with each cycle marked by stronger user response and continual evolution.

After years of dedication and collaboration with industry professionals, he is proud to bring Ladder Genie to market—delivering a smarter, safer solution for rooftop material handling.

He wishes to recognize all those who played pivotal roles in this journey—through encouragement, feedback, constructive ideas, and hands-on involvement in prototyping and development.
